Life membership awards to Ross and Val Roe and Len and Val Tomkins
At the 2008 AGM the above members were awarded Life Membership of the Hunter Valley Area Promotion Group.
All recipient's have been ongoing and active members of the group for 15 or more years. All have been highly successful in promoting the breed and have had oustanding success in the show ring and carcass competitions. All are truly valued members of the Hunter Valley Promotion Group and it was only fitting that their long service and association with the group be recognised.
Please note that there was a "HAWAIIAN" theme for our AGM just in case by the pictures below you may think the HVAPG is a little strange

Bus Trip To Roma Park Limousin Stud
Members of the HVAPG had a very enjoyable and informative trip to Robert and Marilyn Bulley, Roma Park Limousin Stud - where a farm walk was undertaken, followed by a BBQ Lunch and later a dinner at the Lotus on Lighthouse.
Through AI'ing, Embroy transfer programs plus of course natural service Roma Park has what could only be described as a herd of top quality Limousins with exceptional docility. What Roma Park has achieved is a real credit to Robert and Marilyn and we would encourage other breeders to also make time to visit.
The HVAPG would like to extend their thanks to Robert, Marilyn, Deanne and Ellie for being such great hosts and allowing us to visit their stud.

Farm Visit " OAKENDALE FARM " 22nd June 2003
The Hunter Valley Group was fortunate to be able to visit "Oakendale Farm" for a walk and talk with Geoff & Narelle Hand.
Oakendale is a commercial enterprise of some 2000 acres. Geoff and Narelle use only "Limousin" bulls over their commercial herd.
The group would like to thank both Geoff and Narelle for taking time out of there busy day to allow the group to visit their property.
See pictures of the days outing below.
